East Zone Edition

The Korean Film Industry in recent years has upgraded to a level that it competes with Hollywood. A highly developed and industrialised country with ultra modern lifestyle, the film industry has used every technology possible to make the best action and thriller movies. As a fan of K-dramas and K-movies, we EeZeEe girls have picked up our favourite action movies the Indian audience ought to watch. The list is in chronological order.  1. The Thieves (2012) An 2012 action comedy with a star cast, famous all over Asia and the eight highest grossing film in the Korean Film Industry. Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Hye Soo are actors and actresses we see in every other drama and they have a huge fan base worldwide. Eight years back they were as phenomenal as they are now.  This movie is set in South Korea and Hong Kong. A group of thieves from South Korea collaborte with another group of thieves from Hong Kong under their master Macau Park to carry out their biggest heist- to ste...

Remembering the first time KoiZora hit the North East Indian market in 2009 and how we went crazy over Hiro with his white hair. The white hair trend instantly became a hit in our region with boys carrying the hair colour and hairstyle as well. We cried our eyes out when Hiro died in the movie. He became our favourite, got us into Japanese movies and dramas and thats how we discovered many amazing movies like Crows Zero, Kimi Ni Todoke, Attack on the Titan etc. Being his fan for years, we never thought we'd face a day when he'd actually leave. Fans all over the world are shattered in disbelieve.  Reports have it that he died of suicide and officials have not yet released all the details. He was found hanging in his room and seems to have left behind a note which has not yet been revealed. Team EeZeEe hopes his soul is in peace now and that a deeper investigation is done. We believe in the Japanese Authority.  Further, lets look into his past work and the legacy he left behind....

Kim Ji Hyun also known as Golden has won The Voice of Korea 2020 (3rd season) on 10th July, and you know the best part is, he was in Team BoA. Isn't that cute? He made his debut as G.Soul in 2015 under JYP Entertainment. Two years later when H1gher Music was launched by Jay Park, he joined H1gher Music. Last year in December, he changed his stage name to Golden. He is Korean American and is known for his strong vocals. Jay Park calls him the R&B King which he for sure is. His early hits are Excuses and Where do we go from here.  We EeZeEe have been a fan of him for a long time now. Last year he dropped his latest EP Hate Everything which became a international instantly. He also reposted our cover of his title track "Hate Everything" which you can check in our Instagram Highlights (we will always hold that close to our hearts). As you might be curios to dig into his songs, we have again made the job easier for you all. We have selected the best songs of Golden which w...

We have got all the time to Netflix and chill or may I say, "binge-on-Kdramas". We have access to the best Kdramas on Netflix and we couldn't be more thankful. Crash landing on You stole my heart and crushed it so bad that I could re-watch it all over again. Likewise, Hospital Playlist took me back to schooldays and college days making me realize that true friendship does last forever. But, hold your horses everyone. lets take a deeper dive. I am going to present you the best K-dramas that are so good but sadly you wont find them in Netflix. However, do not worry. You can watch them on Kissasian or Viki.  Without further ado, here is my list. 1 . World of the Married (Highest rated drama in Korean Cable Television history) I am not a night owl but the day I started watching this drama, I stayed up all night and watched 8 episodes at a go. The drama is about a well off married couple who have a son and live a happy life until the wife finds out about her husband's illi...

New Albums and Songs of June and July that left us speechless!! The world is in a halt due to Covid19. Everyone is working from home including artists. We have not been getting any new music videos from artists yet but Kpop and K-hiphop just wont stop. 2020 may not be the year for us but its definitely the year for them and we their fans cant thank them enough. Artists have been releasing one song after another, one mv after another and one album after another.  1. Blackpink is the Revolution!!  BlackPink has driven the world crazy with their new hit How You Like That. They are breaking records and the internet. the BBC, BillBoards, Youtube and all the major news channels are talking about how a South Korean K-pop girl group just made 5 records. EeZeEe's Man Crush Monday :  @badboyloo  . B adboyloo is a South Korean rapper more known as Bloo. He is also a member of crew/label MKIT RAIN which also consists of well known rappers Nafla, Owen, Loopy and Young West. What he does best is how he makes his songs sensual and groovy at the same time. His songs will give you a dark, heartbroken, emo vibe and thats the most attractive thing. He also adds a tinge of HipHop beats, he is a rapper after all.  I dont think so I can sum up this talented man in just words. You have to find out for yourself by checking out his music. We've listed the best ones for you in the link given below. Click the link and check him out coz you know, he is the one.  MCM Badboyloo Follow us to know more EastZoneEdition Instagram

THE KOREAN INDIE BAND YOU OUGHT TO KNOW.  ‘Wave to earth’ is an indie band from South Korea and they sing in English mostly. They came out with their first EP album “wave 0.01” early this year in January. My first ‘Wave to earth’ song was “Wave” (I know there’s a lot of Wave going on xD) but trust me I was hooked immediately. Initially I was conflicted whether I should upload the verse/chorus of the tracks but then I realized what I had to do. I had to upload their intros. Each track on their album has a long instrumental intro no less than 20sec and that is what attracted me and hopefully will attract you too. Love their melodies too! Do check out their album and thankfully it is available on Indian Spotify (yay) 1. https://open.spotify.com/track/6spWZj70Cv7A2aQeeOooTA?si=yWvzt-lsSBGndjx9742dKg 2.  https://open.spotify.com/track/70WSsjbEWvU96Ia9AuO9w3?si=dtRLKIYvSuWJTMydM3cJUw 3. https://open.spotify.com/track/1JFeg5v1brw28uVc3fX4ar?si=WQ_5zTU7TcawwKTxo6eIRg The...

THE COMEBACK OF BIG BANG IS THE BANG WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR!! I listen to k-pop and k-hiphop everyday. I cant even fall asleep if I don't listen to "Sleep" by Night Off (listen to it right now if you all haven't). The Korean Music Industry just controls me. Feeling lazy? Listen to Jay Park. Wanna hit the gym? Listen to Changmo. Can't fall asleep? Listen to The Black Skirts. Feeling old school-ish? Listen to Jannabi. Feeling nostalgic? Listen to BIG BANG. Now there is no denial that Big Bang are the kings of K-pop. Yes yes I know, you know, we all know that BTS is everywhere now. But Big Bang is Big Bang. Its because of them, the world knows K-pop today.  They literally shaped K-pop into what it is today and they have had the most loyal, supportive and loving fanbase of all times- the VIPS (I am a proud one). I have been a VIP for 13 years straight. Yes, I grew up listening to them. Thats how influential they are. Oh i so remember how excitingly i had voted f...

Hello everyone,  We are a duo of two childhood buddies from India who share the same love and enthusiasm for Korean music. It began around 2007-08 when we were first introduced to K-pop through Big Bang and it was love at first sight. Our love for K-pop sailed through our teen and college years only to become stronger. During those years we also explored other genres of Korean music and we fell in love yet again. To be precise, Show me the money (a hit Korean hip hop reality show) and Jay Park (R&B/Khiphop artist) opened the doors to exploring K-hip hop/Khop and R&B for us. Consequently it got us curious to further explore other Korean artists of diff genres like indie, alternative, soul, etc. Today, K-pop is the buzz of town and has swept across the Indian audience. Which is great but it's a pity that a larger spectrum of audience think Korean music is only K-pop because of its popularity. And hence, using East Zone Edition aka 'EeZeEe' as a tool, we want to becom...
