The Best Non-Netflix K-Dramas you are missing out on. Lets find out where to watch them!! You're welcome!
We have got all the time to Netflix and chill or may I say, "binge-on-Kdramas". We have access to the best Kdramas on Netflix and we couldn't be more thankful. Crash landing on You stole my heart and crushed it so bad that I could re-watch it all over again. Likewise, Hospital Playlist took me back to schooldays and college days making me realize that true friendship does last forever. But, hold your horses everyone. lets take a deeper dive. I am going to present you the best K-dramas that are so good but sadly you wont find them in Netflix. However, do not worry. You can watch them on Kissasian or Viki.
Without further ado, here is my list.
1. World of the Married (Highest rated drama in Korean Cable Television history)
I am not a night owl but the day I started watching this drama, I stayed up all night and watched 8 episodes at a go. The drama is about a well off married couple who have a son and live a happy life until the wife finds out about her husband's illicit affair with a much younger girl. Living in a society where women are blamed for anything and everything that goes wrong in a married couple's life, her world comes crashing down when she finally files for a divorce and fights for the custody of their son.
Kim Hee-Ae (from YG Entertainment ofcourse) plays the lead actress and has also won the best actress and director Mo Wan Il won the best director for this drama in the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards 2020. If you are reading this, you cant miss this drama.
2. Backstreet Rookie
I was really excited for this one because the lead actor Ji Chang Wook is my absolute favourite. His acting is so fine that you cant miss this. I could write an entire blog solely on his acting skills lol!! This drama is about a girl ( Jung Saet Byul) in her early twenties who works as a part timer in a department store owned by (Choi Dae Hyun). Both of them belong to the middle class and have a tough time making ends meet. This drama also shows the socio-economic gap of South Korea. Its a lovely story with a touch of humour and love. It is an ongoing drama and airs every Friday and Saturday. Best part is, it is also uploaded in Kissasian on those very days but you might have to wait till midnight or the next day for the subtitles. What are you waiting for? Go watch already.
3. Dinner Mate
Song Seung Hoon is back because old is gold. Kim Hae Kyeong is a successful psychiatrist who suffers from a major heart break not sure if he'd ever open up for a new relationship until he meets the joyful Woo Do Hee who has also been dumped or cheated on by her exes. The two of them meet accidentally and decide to have dinner together. As fate kicks in, they keep running into each other and become Dinner Mates. One fine day, Woo Do Hee's ex boyfriend returns from the USA and the twist unfolds. Ladies and gentlemen, if you all have watched Crash Landing On you and are unhappy about Seo Dan's (Ri Jung Hyuk's fiance) incomplete love story, then this drama is your happy ending. its an ongoing drama and you can watch it on Kissasian or Viki. Episodes air every Monday and Tuesday.
4. You Drive Me Crazy.
You can finish this in one day as it has only four episodes. Isn't that great? Its short and sweet. Two best friends get drunk and end up having sex but convince each other to pretend it never happened. They for sure love each other but dont really realise it until the end. It will melt your heart in the sweetest way possible because they are so natural in the movie and their chemistry is great. If you are not willing to watch the dramas I have mentioned above because they have so many episodes, then at least watch this. I promise you will not regret. You can watch it on Kissasian.
