Learn, understand and appreciate the production of K-Pop and its Music Videos through these YouTube channels.

Tired of watching K-pop reaction video with no critical take on the music or MV? Want to watch K-pop related videos where you actually learn something from it? These four YouTube channels will help you understand the production of K-pop and its Music Videos and will leave you appreciating them as well as learning about them a lot more than before. Want to know how? Read on!

1. Form of Therapy

First on the list we have a multimedia YouTube channel which is run and hosted by video producer aka PD. Their channel reacts to K-pop Music Videos (section is called The Kulture Study), hosts listening parties to a particular artist/group’s album, dives deeper into the past works/discography of an artist or group, and also produces short films.

What makes PD’s videos different?

It’s not only interesting but you will also learn from their comment on the cinematography, camera work and the production of the MV/track in general. PD also breaks down the lyrics at times. Their channel has many sections out of which ‘Listening parties’ and 'Deep Dive' are the best.

In a typical listening party, PD listens to an album for the first time and shares their view (analysis mode on).  Sometimes you end up having the same reaction as PD to a certain track and honestly that’s so much fun (if you also happen to be listening to the album for the first time then it’s like having someone listen to it with and get excited together). Your admin has listened to every album of BTS and also did a ‘Loona Marathon’ along with PD. Loved it!

NOTE: PD is transgender MTF (male to female) and would appreciate people not use male pronouns.

There’s no denying how amazing and visually pleasing K-pop Music Videos are. For those who wonder what goes on behind its production or how they are edited? Second on our list can help you with that!

2. Jordan Orme

Jordan Orme, a professional music video editor who has worked on MVs of artists like Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch and more! He breaks down music videos and analyzes them through the perspective of an editor.

What makes Jordan Orme’s videos different?

He shares editing tricks and explains the music video along with the storyline in every aspect possible. He explains how such production was achieved through editing in a very easy and entertaining way. He also pauses the videos he is watching and takes the time to analyse and tell his viewers… no, actually teach his viewers- fame by frame at times! You will find his videos insightful whether you are a K-pop fan or not.

Now for those who are interested to know more about the production of K-pop music? Our next YouTube channel got you covered.

3. AZODi

We have a producer himself who specializes in K-pop and J-pop. In his YouTube channel he analyses the production of K-pop songs, holds interviews with other fellow K-pop producers, and provides tutorials for K-pop fans.

What makes AZODi’s videos different?

His channel is especially for those who want to understand the technical side of K-pop musicality as he breaks them down while listening to the songs. You may find his videos helpful if you too happen to produce songs or are into music in general :P

You can also read this interesting piece published by Korean Herald which spoke to AZODi on “BlackPink’s winning formula: from ‘Boombayah’ to ‘How You Like That’”

Finally for those who want a more detailed and accurate look into K-pop and the Korean wave in general backed with its cultural context? Look no more because our last YouTube channel on the list got you covered.

4. DKDKTV

DKDKTV is made up of Danny Kim and David Kim and are probably the most popular on the list and for the right reasons. Where do I even begin to talk about DKDKTV? They produce a variety of content from explaining the korean lyrics and their hidden meanings to holding interviews with artists and groups, to reviewing K-dramas and Shows.

Their most interesting section, which I would highly recommend is their “K-pop History explained”. In this section they talk about the most important or memorable moments in K-pop history.

Being able to understand K-pop accurately from Koreans themselves and in English… ain’t that the best?

Anyway that's all in our list and we hope you enjoyed it. We  can definitely guarantee you that you will learn something from their videos. (Your admin watches them too ^_^)

That being said, let’s continue to explore K-pop together!

Yours truly,

EeZeEe girls.

A highly developed and industrialised country with ultra modern lifestyle, the film industry has used every technology possible to make the best action and thriller movies. As a fan of K-dramas and K-movies, we EeZeEe girls have picked up our favourite action movies the Indian audience ought to watch. The list is in chronological order.  1. The Thieves (2012) An 2012 action comedy with a star cast, famous all over Asia and the eight highest grossing film in the Korean Film Industry. Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Hye Soo are actors and actresses we see in every other drama and they have a huge fan base worldwide. Eight years back they were as phenomenal as they are now.  This movie is set in South Korea and Hong Kong. My Top 10 Manhwas and why

Manhwa is a general term used for South Korean style comics which you will often find released in Webtoon. Unlike most Manga style from Japan, Manhwas are usually colorful and Webtoon also provides background music while you read the chapters.  Now let's move on to the list, shall we? 1. Dice(ongoing) Hyunseok Yun If you could change your life by playing a game ... Would you? And if yes, How far would you go?   I love games and the idea of fantasy world that has game-like elements to be precise, virtual reality. * spoiler free* We have our protagonist Dongtae, feeling like his life is a mess and wishes what if he could change it.   He is granted the power of a dice and a chance to become a DICER. Of course not everything is greener on the other side, it has its cons. If I have to compare it would be kind of like the movie Truth or Dare? Gamified life but also shows the ugly truth of human who go beyond human reasoning for the sake of selfish desires.  ...
