ASIA RISING

HOW 88 RISING IS CHANGING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

88 Rising is an Asian American record label that helps promote asian artists worldwide. Their famous artists are Rich Brian, Niki Zefanye, Joji, Dumbfounded, Okasian, Keith Ape and many more. As the world is hit by Covid19, artsists have had to cancel their tours and many fans have been upset about it. But not to forget, this is a virtual world. Hence, many labels have come up with online live shows and this is one of the most anticipated one that happened.
88rising's Asia Rising happened on May 6th, we thought we'd share music of the artists we were most excited for.  (½)
  1. Lim Kim- Lim Kim is a South Korean singer who rose to fame for her sweet vocals. She returned to the music industry with her banger album 'GENERASIAN(2019)' after a break for a few years. Her album's style of music incorporated elements of Korean folk, hip hop, indie-rock and pop which is different from what she initially debuted as.
  2. Dumbfoundead- Jonathan Park professionally known as Dumbfounded is an American rapper of Korean descent. Just a few days ago he released fresh tracks- OUTSIDE and INSIDE both featuring Satica. I love his rap style, it's so chill, low key and clear 😭👌🏻 the OG
  3. Hyukoh- Hyukoh is an indie pop/rock band from South Korea. They are among the most popular South Korean indie bands. They also performed in Coachella last year (2019). Check out our IG post here. Asia Rising 1/2
